Cake Run

Cake Run

By Craig Wilson

The cool breeze is like a comforting blanket.
The sun shines down with a comforting glow.
I’m wandering the dead streets, craving cake.
Yet, the street seems so alien on this very day.
I look all around me – the shops look different.
It feels like I’ve entered a whole new world.
The street signs are somewhat unreadable, too.
Finally, after a long trek, I find a sandwich place.
I enter the sandwich shop, and I leave the dream.

The End

The above story is a loose adaptation of a dream I had. If there is anything you would like to ask, feel free to leave a comment, and thank you for reading.
