A Broken Toy

A Broken Toy

By Craig Wilson

I come to. I see that I’m not in my house.

In fact, I’m at someone’s birthday party.

The host is a friend I’ve known for years.

They remind me it’s a party for their kid.

Their kid is sad. Someone broke their toy.

I get asked to fix it. I cannot do it, though.

Some woman has to fix it for me instead.

Defeated, I decide to leave this party early.

Of course, this decision makes people sad.

I apologise. I tell them I’ll see them later.

When I leave the house, I exit this dream.

Ghostly Memories

Ghostly Memories

By Craig Wilson

The smoke clears, and I'm not in my house.

I look around and see I’m inside a clinic.

As always, I don't recall visiting here.

Someone reminds me I’m here to work.

I'm dressed in the casual cleaning outfit.

Instead of arguing back, I get to work.

I gather my equipment and get started.

Something seems odd in my workplace.

There are ghosts wandering around here.

They’re likely memories from the past.

Patients and medical workers run around.

Voices of distressed patients surround me.

I rush out of the clinic, leave my dream.

The Angry Old Man Dies

The Angry Old Man Dies

By Craig Wilson

The smoke clears; I am sitting in my room.

Of course, I do not find this weird at all.

So I'm listening to an audiobook right now.

An angry elderly man hates everyone.

The neighbourhood avoid this old gent.

Local kids tell tales of this mean old man.

Suddenly, the old man dies on the streets.

Only a precious little child pleads for help.

The audiobook makes me feel quite sad.

It is difficult to move on after the book ends.

I take off the headset and leave the dream.

A Haunting Connection

A Haunting Connection

By Craig Wilson

The smoke clears. I’m in a gothic house.

I am frightened when I hear a woman cry.

I ignore my instincts and climb the stairs.

I enter a room and see a woman in a gown.

The woman appears to be in mourning.

So I sat with her and ask her what's up.

Her own death has depressed her greatly.

I ask her if she needs help with anything.

She asks for a hug, and I oblige the request.

We hug for a while. It feels so lucid, too.

Yet, I do not want this moment to end.

Sadly, my alarm goes off, and I wake up.

Disastrous Day

Disastrous Day

By Craig Wilson

The smoke clears, and I realize I’m in a supermarket.

Outside, it’s raining cats and dogs. It’s depressing.

Thankfully, I run into an old friend from high school.

My friend invites me to his place. We get the bus.

We go there, but his flatmates are really rude to me.

My friend and I watched some comedy videos.

Unfortunately, the flatmates kick us out of the flat.

My friend and I have to take the bus into town.

Thus, we travel to the station and soon part ways.

When I get on the bus home, this dream ends.

The Revenge Song

The Revenge Song

By Craig Wilson

The smoke clears; I am at a basketball game.

Funnily enough, I don’t remember coming here.

Apparently, I am not myself; I am a teenager.

It appears I go to this old high school. I shrug.

A girl who claims to be my friend goes on stage.

She sings about me being a jerk last night.

However, I don’t know what she’s talking about.

My mates tell her she got drunk and harassed me.

My friend breaks down. She apologizes to me.

I reject her. I get up, and I leave the gymnasium.

Suddenly, I leave this dramatic dream, and wake up.

Bow-Gun Assassin

Bow-Gun Assassin

By Craig Wilson

The smoke clears. I see I'm in a park.

However, I don't remember coming here.

I walk around, avoiding an arrow.

Some lunatic is attempting to attack me.

I run around, avoiding the flying arrows.

I cannot see the shooter. I enter a building.

I see the shooter is a former friend of mine.

I wrestle the bow-gun from the assassin.

Fortunately, I toss the bow-gun away.

I wonder why my ex-friend did this.

He instructs me to wake up and find out.

As a result, I catapult out of this wild dream.

Zombie Sacrifice

Zombie Sacrifice

By Craig Wilson

The smoke clears. I find myself in a flat building.

I have this eerie sensation of déjà vu right now.

I hear a woman crying. I go to investigate.

Men in black are taking this woman’s child.

I can tell the child has the virus in his system.

The child looks like they will turn soon.

I grab a man’s gun and shoot the child dead.

The woman tries attacking me, but gets restrained.

I drop the gun. I shed a tear. I feel so much guilt.

My alarm goes off, and I am pulled from the dream.

Crash Course

Crash Course

By Craig Wilson

The smoke clears. I see that I'm in a classroom.

I'm not alone. There are other people present.

I'm reminded that we have to take another course.

This course is intended to help us find a new job.

I am not enthusiastic about the job course.

The lecturer acts like he’s a mad drill sergeant.

One child has a panic attack. They even cry.

The lecturer yells at the student, making it worse.

I chastise the lecturer, and they are silenced.

However, the others quickly turn against me.

I'm feeling anxious. I leave the room and my dream.

Raving Split

Raving Split

By Craig Wilson

The smoke clears, and I realise I am flying.

Yet I am not physically present during this.

I am doing astral projection right now.

So I go to a random rave for some fun.

I notice a random couple dancing together.

The man receives a text on his mobile phone.

The woman is furious as she reads the text.

It seems it is the man’s ex texting him.

The couple ends up having a huge fight.

Unfortunately, the cute couple calls it quits.

My alarm goes off, and I leave this sad dream.

Zombie Havoc

Zombie Havoc

By Craig Wilson

The smoke clears. I find myself in a huge house.

I can hear groans outside. It’s zombies again.

I regroup my folks and help fix up the borders.

There’s a tiny girl here. The poor thing feels scared.

I decide to protect this girl from the undead monsters.

Sadly, two zombies get in; it’s the young girl’s siblings.

I have no choice but to kill the ghouls. I even tear up.

I have to comfort the poor girl. She can’t stop crying.

My alarm goes off, and I catapult out of the dream.

Monkey Sadness

Monkey Sadness

By Craig Wilson

The smoke clears, and I see I am in a tiny café.

As always, I do not remember coming here at all.

I am sitting at a table nursing a little hazelnut latte.

My pal Jack appears, and he’s got a monkey friend.

Jack sits at the same table as me. He looks pretty sad.

Jack says his monkey pal has depression. Poor, tiny chap.

My heart breaks. I want to see a smile from the monkey.

Nothing I say or do improve the monkey's sour mood.

My phone’s alarm goes off, and I’m pulled from the dream.

A Hidden Betrayal

A Hidden Betrayal

By Craig Wilson

As the smoke clears, I find myself in a snowy landscape.

As usual, I have no memory of visiting this snowy area.

I walk around until I come across a wholesome town.

The lights are bright, and there are a lot of happy people.

A random dog follows me, and we become fast friends.

A wolf appears and soon attacks my canine companion.

I quickly grab the wolf and toss him off of my friend.

The wolf informs me that the dog intends to betray me.

My alarm goes off, and I quickly awaken from this dream.

The Xmas Breakdown

The Xmas Breakdown

By Craig Wilson

When the smoke clears, I realise I am in a high school.

Yet, the school looks just like a high security prison.

The detention area appears to be a sort of holding cell.

Carefully, I look around and see some Xmas decorations.

It seems the high school is celebrating Christmastime.

I enter a random classroom and I see there’s a large riot.

The children are going nuts and causing a lot of havoc.

Their teacher, however, is actually having a breakdown.

One child pulls the alarm, which frees me from my dream.

The Garage Gig

The Garage Gig

By Craig Wilson

The smoke dissipates and I end up at someone’s house.

Nevertheless, I do not recall going to this mysterious house.

The first person I see is a teacher from my old school days.

My teacher calls for someone, and a random dude appears.

The dude and I are instructed to clean the teacher’s garage.

The dude and I grab some stuff and start the cleaning gig.

The job doesn’t actually take too long, and we are finished.

The teacher says we did a poor job, and I feel super guilty.

My phone’s alarm goes off and I am ripped from the dream.

The smoke clears and I find myself in my house.

It’s the weekend, and I want to play some games.

I look for my laptop but cannot find it at all.

A panic attack takes over me, and I cannot focus.

I soon realise that I accidentally dumped my PC.

So, I rush out to get my PC, but something is off.

I do not live in a house – I live in a flat building.

Outside, I soon bump into an old friend from college.

My friend found my laptop for me and hands it over.

I make my way back home and I leave this dream.

Miss Hagatha’s Home

Miss Hagatha’s Home

By Craig Wilson

The smoke clears and I find myself in an old house.

I do not recall going to an old Victorian household.

This Victorian household is away from the big city.

The place is amazing and feels overwhelmingly huge.

Sadly, I make a mess and I am approached by a maid.

The maid furiously tells me that I have to help clean up.

Reluctantly, I grab some cleaning equipment to clean.

One of the small cloths I have been given is a little filthy.

The cloth makes things dirtier; which really sets me off.

Thankfully, my phone’s alarm pulls me out the dream.

Angry Messages

By Craig Wilson

The smoke clears and I find myself in my room.

The rain is absolutely coming down right outside.

It's the weekend, and I want to take some time off.

I set up my laptop and I log into social media.

A friend of mine has posted a lot of hateful things.

So, I send a lot of hateful messages to my friend.

My phone goes off, and I see a string of texts.

I hurt my friend and she wants to sever her ties.

A wave of guilt actually fills my beating heart.

My phone goes off again, but to wake me up.

The Missing Bag

The Missing Bag

By Craig Wilson

The smoke clears and I find myself in a high school.

Once again, I have no memory of coming to school.

I am in a vast hallway, and I can see numerous lockers.

A woman leaves a classroom, and she looks familiar.

This woman claims that I have her son’s little backpack.

I have no idea what she means, so I run away from her.

I wound up entering a cafeteria – filled with many folks.

I feel anxious when I see everybody looking at me.

I try to get something, but I’m charged an extra fee.

My phone’s alarm wails, and I am ripped from the dream.
