TV Dinner

TV Dinner

By Craig Wilson

I’m hanging out with an old friend, in a restaurant.
His friend, a man, sits directly opposite us both.
The restaurant has a sort of Chinese theme to it.
And yet, I can’t hear any music – it’s too quiet.
Our waiter, an elderly gent, approaches our table.
With a pen and pad writer, he asks for our order.
I take a gander at my menu, and it’s a TV guide.
My phone’s alarm catapults me back to reality.

The End

The above story is a loose adaptation of a dream I had. If there is anything you would like to ask, feel free to leave a comment, and thank you for reading.
