A Final Goodbye

A Final Goodbye

By Craig Wilson

An old friend is leaving this country for good.

I ask her why, and she says she is moving on.

My friend says she wants to enhance her career.

Yet, I can tell that there’s something more to it.

I don’t push my luck, I just respect her wishes.

As she says her goodbyes, my heart breaks.

I wake up, but the pain still remains in me.

The End

The above story is a loose adaptation of a dream I had. If there is anything you would like to ask, feel free to leave a comment, and thank you for reading.
