Socially Reluctant

Socially Reluctant

By Craig Wilson

I look around, and see I’m back in school again.

Sadly, I am soon welcomed by an ex-friend.

She even greets me, with a big warm smile.

There’s a horrible feeling in the pit of my gut.

She reminds me that I agreed to chill with her.

I force myself to agree and I fake my interest.

Somehow, I manage to endure the time we spend.

Yet, my ex-friend notices that I am acting oddly.

Thankfully, my phone’s alarm acts as my saviour.

The End

The above story is a loose adaptation of a dream I had. If there is anything you would like to ask, feel free to leave a comment, and thank you for reading.
