Irish Courage

Irish Courage

By Craig Wilson

I need to go out to work, but it’s way too early.

It is dark out and the creepers lurk the streets.

All the normal folk are in bed sleeping soundly.

I search the kitchen for something to help me out.

I grab a bottle of cream liquor and have a drink.

It somehow works and I am able to taste the drink.

Thanks to the liquor, my fear has been suppressed.

I head out and I now have the courage of ten men.

Carefully, I avoid the howling creeps in the dark.

When I reach the bus station, the dream soon ends.

The End

The above story is a loose adaptation of a dream I had. If there is anything you would like to ask, feel free to leave a comment, and thank you for reading.
