A Recursive Dream

A Recursive Dream

By Craig Wilson

My alarm goes off. I get up, get changed, and I leave my room.

I somehow wind up back in my room and hear my alarm again.

After I turn off my alarm, I leave my room to go get some food.

I appear in my bed again and I have to silence the phone’s alarm.

I realise that something is wrong: I keep repeating my own actions.

I keep waking up in my bed and I hear my phone’s alarm often.

When my alarm goes off for real, I am too afraid to leave my bed.

The End

The above story is a loose adaptation of a dream I had. If there is anything you would like to ask, feel free to leave a comment, and thank you for reading.
