The Lost Heirloom

The smoke clears, and I find myself in a strange aquatic lab.
I do not recall going to this aquatic laboratory at all, though.
A mad scientist walks up to me and fills me in on everything.
The notorious Dragon Thief has nicked my family heirloom.
I’d chased the thief to the beach and had got lost in a grotto.
This mad scientist says his mermaid companion had saved me.
They hand me a necklace that can help me retrieve the heirloom.
I go to get the necklace powered up, but I leap out of this dream.
