Broken Scales
By Craig Wilson
The smoke clears, and I find myself outside.
I don’t remember leaving my house, though.
I see I am right outside my local supermarket.
I figure I am here to shop, so I head on inside.
I check my list and only need several things.
So, I grab a basket and fill it with some stuff.
I go to the self-service checkout to check out.
The scales seem broken, and I am overcharged.
I complain to the staff, but no one helps me.
My phone’s alarm goes off, and I soon wake up.
The End
The above story is a loose adaptation of a dream I had. If there is anything you would like to ask, feel free to leave a comment, and thank you for reading.
