Restoring Her Courage
By Craig Wilson
The smoke clears. I see I'm in a café.
I don't recall ever going to this place.
In fact, I am wearing the same uniform.
I'm reminded that I work in this cosy place.
It’s a café where you can sing on the stage.
I encourage one of my coworkers to sing.
My coworker is unsure. She appears nervous.
I remind my coworker that she's a fine singer.
Finally, my coworker does, and she's wonderful.
The audience claps wildly, and as for encores.
My alarm goes off, and I quickly wake up.
The End
The above story is a loose adaptation of a dream I had. If there is anything you would like to ask, feel free to leave a comment, and thank you for reading.
