The New Recruits
By Craig Wilson
The smoke has cleared, and I am in a small charity shop.
As per usual, I do not remember going to the charity shop.
My manager informs me I am scheduled to work today.
I shrug it off. I soon start cleaning the store; which I often do.
Yet, I see some random people who I do not recognise at all.
I see a Gothic woman, in her early twenties, working hard.
There's a young Asian guy working the register. He waves.
I go through my daily routine of serving and cleaning.
The phone rings, and I quickly leave the charity dream.
The End
The above story is a loose adaptation of a dream I had. If there is anything you would like to ask, feel free to leave a comment, and thank you for reading.
