The Rail Contest
By Craig Wilson
The smoke clears. I am at a skatepark.
I do not remember going to a skate park.
I look at myself in the mirror; I am a teen.
I have somehow become a teenager again.
I see I am wearing some skateboarding gear.
Some teen girl introduces herself as my pal.
My friend reminds me I am in the contest.
So, I grab my skateboard, and I start skating.
The crowd reacts enthusiastically, which helps.
I really impress the judges who watch me.
My phone goes off, and I quickly wake up.
The End
The above story is a loose adaptation of a dream I had. If there is anything you would like to ask, feel free to leave a comment, and thank you for reading.
