Halloween Clean

Halloween Clean

By Craig Wilson

The smoke has cleared, and I’m now in a library.

As always, I’m not sure what I’m doing here.

The library features Halloween decorations.

I believe it must be Halloween season.

A woman here says I am a new cleaner.

I realize I am wearing the grey overalls.

I shrug. I empty the bins and wipe them.

I hear some party music not far away.

I do not see my new supervisor anywhere.

I soon finish, and I meet the new librarian.

I describe the supervisor to the employee.

She does not recognise the supervisor.

I leave the library, and the dream ends.

The End

The above story is a loose adaptation of a dream I had. If there is anything you would like to ask, feel free to leave a comment, and thank you for reading.
